At CSC we believe that everyone has a unique spark to discover within themselves, an innate capability for healing, and personal lessons from life experiences to discover along the way. These components make up our meaningful life purpose which are essential in navigating our way out of suffering. At CSC we help to make sense of, integrate, and balance these components. In our role as mentor or guide we seek to understand the roots of suffering in each person’s life and inspire, empower, and transform rather than pathologize.
Counseling is for when suffering takes the foreground of someone’s life the majority of the time and obstacles appear as barriers that feel insurmountable whereas potential or possibility feels more obscured in the background. Someone seeking counseling may recognize that many aspects of their life feel out of balance or there are some significant pieces missing to a balanced life. Someone seeking counseling may be in the early stages of their healing path or feel that they have more to unearth and explore about themselves, they are learning and understanding how their history and social conditioning impact their lives now. Someone seeking counseling may feel like there are aspects of their life to grieve or they may feel like their life is devoid of inspiration but they have a deep subtle whisper that it is there underneath the layers of challenging life experiences and wounds.

"We are not here to fix ourselves. We are here to remember that we were never broken." -Emily McDowell
As a therapist, my mission is to provide a safe, supportive space where individuals can show up as their authentic, unapologetic selves. I believe that everyone deserves to live life to its fullest and to understand themselves in a way that allows their purpose, soul, and spirit to shine in harmony with themselves and others.
I've always been drawn to the way movement, silence and the wild landscape offer mirrors to our internal experience. This understanding shapes my approach, which blends several therapeutic modalities such as EMDR and IFS to support holistic healing. I recognize that each person comes with unique needs, desires and visions for their therapeutic work, and I am committed to collaborating on a plan that feels aligned, grounded and empowering. My style is warm, collaborative, and clear. I help clients navigate complexity without getting lost in it.
I am particularly passionate about somatic therapy, which emphasizes the connection between mind and body, and supports client's in regulating their nervous system while accessing their internal resources for healing. Eco-therapy further enriches my practice by recognizing the therapeutic benefits of nature, allowing clients to find solace and inspiration in the natural world around them.
Incorporating elements of art therapy, I encourage clients to express their emotions and experiences creatively, offering alternative pathways to understanding and healing that may not emerge through words alone. My background in dance informs my ability to hold space for client's as they move through emotional layers, navigating and re-aligning nervous systems to a place of calm, presence, understanding, and peace. My approach to psychotherapy integrates these modalities, providing a comprehensive framework for clients to explore their identities, beliefs, feelings, and strengthen sensory awareness and internal attunement.
"You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending." -C.S. Lewis
My professional path has been diverse. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a case manager supporting veterans, individuals on the spectrum, people experiencing homelessness, and older adults. I also worked as a wilderness guide and high ropes facilitator witnessing firsthand how nature, risk and resilience can open pathways to emotional growth. These experiences strengthened my belief in the deep interconnectedness of our physical, emotional, and relational health.
Outside of my professional life, I maintain close relationships with family and friends and value the lessons of connection and support they bring to my life. As a new mother, I cherish the joys and challenges of parenting, which offer me ongoing insight into the need for balance and self-care in our busy lives.
I invite you to reach out if you feel drawn to this kind of work. I offer a free 15-minute consultation to discuss how we can work together to navigate your unique journey toward healing and self-discovery.

“Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day I can hear her breathing.” -Arundhati Roy
I aspire to have a revolutionary approach to therapy, an approach that supports growth towards all of our freedom. And I am still in the process of decolonizing a colonized body and mind, just as you are. I am inspired by Sonya Renee Taylor’s body-based, radical self-love as espoused in her book and social movement The Body Is Not An Apology. I honor the lens of intersectionality – the acknowledgement that bodies bear differing levels of burden according to their position within multiple oppressive systems, and do my best to be an ally in empowering all bodies to be free, with regulated nervous systems. I would like to name that I feel like I am a particularly strong ally for queer folks; I love what queerness brings into the world, some of my closest people are queer, and I have experience working with a variety of LGTBQ+ individuals as a therapist. Additionally, I have lived significant portions of my life in Latin America, speak Spanish, and would be honored to work with Spanish speaking clients.
“Pleasure is the point. Feeling good is not frivolous, it is freedom.” -Adrienne Maree Brown
Increasingly I recognize a regulated nervous system as a cornerstone of well being within our bodies. And thus I am drawn to learning about Polyvagal theory and all practices that help us maintain a regulated nervous system, including pleasure, creativity, and connection with Source/Spirit. Some of the forms of creative self-expression that have most supported me are writing, dance, and singing, and I would love to support your creative process as a part of your healing journey. Some things that bring me joy and pleasure include singing in community, dancing in community, being in nature, rock climbing, and any other backcountry adventuring that I can access, such as canyoneering or rafting. Nature was one of my strongest allies and regulating forces in my childhood and my connection to the earth is strong. Just as we co-regulate together, we can co- regulate with the earth; nature is one of the strongest and most reliable regulating forces we can access.
As a mother of two young adults, I have lived through many stages of the lifespan, which helps me support you through the many transitions of life, whether it be learning to adult, marriage, divorce, parenting, role changes, the loss of a loved one, a spiritual awakening, or any significant change really. I love to honor the depth and power of transitions and am well versed in the transformative nature of grief. I have been influenced by grief teachers such as Sobonfu Some and Francis Weller, as well as my own significant grief processes. Becoming capable of feeling our pain is one of the strongest and most revolutionary things we can do. A society cannot be healthy until it has metabolized its pain, and we have so much.
Life has presented me with a wealth of challenges, from significant childhood trauma, to relational loss, multiple head injuries, and a host of mysterious health symptoms, which has given me the opportunity to learn a lot about the nuances and many layers of healing. I have had to reach for the largess of my soul and the unconditional love of my spiritual support team to make it through the hardest times, and I am grateful for the inner sense of connection and resilience this has forged. For that reason, I am experimenting with how to bring Spirit, soul, and energy work into therapeutic sessions, for I believe these are essential resources that we should all have access to, and that make the healing process more efficient. In addition to being a trained mental health therapist, I am a budding channel and light language practitioner. Sessions may include things such as prayer, intention setting, ceremony, light language, and creative self expression, in ways that seek to align with your belief systems. My therapeutic approach draws heavily on Internal Family Systems Therapy. I find its parts work model to be an elegant representation of the fractal nature of the universe. As we learn to love and integrate all of our parts into a harmonious whole, we become more adept at loving all that we witness in humanity so that together we can become a more harmonious whole, owning and integrating its pain and darkness.
Like any good healer, my aim is to support you in accessing your own wisdom and movement towards healing, wholeness, and empowerment. My tools, skills, perspectives, and experience are in service to you taking responsibility for yourself while leaning into the mystery of what healthy interdependence looks like. Thus I work best with those who are ready to be active in their own healing process. I am not the best person to go to if you are in active crisis – in this case you will likely be better served in a larger agency with more wrap around services. That being said, if you are in a more stabilized place, I am open to working with all trauma histories.
“Liberation is the opportunity for every human, no matter their body, to have unobstructed access to their highest self, for every human to live in radical self-love.” -Sonya Renee Taylor

“Healing is not about becoming who you were before. It’s about letting go of who you thought you had to be.” – Unknown
I come to this work as both a therapist and a mystic — someone who has walked through the fire of substance abuse, grief, soul rupture, awakening, and deep ancestral healing. Therapy, for me, is sacred space: a living ceremony where we meet the truth of who you are with reverence, courage, and just the right amount of tough love.
I specialize in working with individuals who feel called to transform. Whether you’re navigating trauma, identity shifts, chronic dysregulation, grief, spiritual emergence, divorce, special needs children, or the quiet ache of loneliness — I’m here to walk beside you. My work is rooted in nervous system regulation, somatic awareness, spiritual integration, and intuitive listening. I’m trained as a mental health therapist, but I also channel, track energy, and incorporate sound, frequency, and soul work when invited.
“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” – Rumi
I believe healing isn’t just about “fixing” yourself. It’s about remembering your wholeness, even in the mess. It’s about letting the body feel safe again, letting your voice rise again, and letting your truth be bigger than your wounds. Clients have described our work as raw, grounded, luminous, and deeply real. I believe in giving you space to feel everything— and also space to laugh, play, and dream into what’s next.
Sessions are fluid, collaborative, and co-created in the moment. On any given day, we may:
Map nervous system states and track triggers through a trauma-informed lens
Use parts work (IFS-style) to meet and tend to inner protectors, exiles, or wounded child aspects
Integrate sound therapy, vocal toning, or frequency healing to reset and restore balance
Engage in intuitive channeling or guided meditations for insight and clarity
Create sacred space for grief, rage, or spiritual breakthroughs to safely unfold
Anchor in practical steps that support integration and lasting change in daily life
Music, singing, and maybe even some dancing!
You bring your whole self — no masks, no performance — and I meet you there with honesty, grace, and presence.
“You were born with the power to rewrite your story — don’t hand the pen to your wounds.” – Sonya Renee Taylor
My own journey includes a spiritual awakening sparked by trauma, the loss of my father, and what I believe to be a twin flame soul connection. I’ve experienced judgment, rupture, and isolation — and I’ve also witnessed how grief becomes gold when held with care. I integrate spiritual technologies, sacred ceremony, ancestral wisdom, and practical strategies into sessions, always honoring your own beliefs, identity, and sovereignty.
My work is especially resonant for sensitives, seekers, neurodivergent folx (I walk with ADD and PTSD), and those who feel like they’re “too much” or “not enough.” I am here to challenge those stories — gently, fiercely, and with devotion.
“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” – Anaïs Nin
In addition to therapy, I train dogs (seriously — ask me about the crossover), and live in what I call The Nest Between Worlds. It’s part temple, part home, part sanctuary. I’m a lover of sound healing, barefoot walks, firelight rituals, and the kind of laughter that cracks open timelines.
If you’re looking for a practitioner who sees your multidimensionality, speaks truth with compassion, and believes that love — unconditional love — is the most powerful alchemy on Earth, I’d be honored to work with you.

“The doors to the world of the wild Self are few but precious. If you have a deep scar, that is a door. If you have an old, old story, that is a door. If you love the sky and the water so much you almost cannot bear it, that is a door. If you yearn for a deeper life, a full life, a sane life, that is a door.” – Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes
My work is rooted in the wild, woven with magic, and devoted to the sacred remembering of who we are beneath our conditioning.
I approach therapy as ritual, as reclamation, as resistance. It is a return to the body, to the breath, to the earth, and to the truths we carry in our bones. I hold space for healing that is not only personal, but political—a soul-deep process of unlearning, rewilding, and restoring what late-stage capitalism, patriarchy, white supremacy, and other systems of oppression have tried to sever. I am here to help you remember who you are and find the joy of being in right relationship with yourself as you navigate your relationships with others and systems at large. I am here to help you reclaim your magic. I take my work seriously, but welcome joy and playfulness in my sessions.
My practice blends clinical tools with ancient ones; comprehensive training in Western therapy practices such as DBT, CBT, and Parts work as well as esoteric practices such as Tarot, astrology, archetypes, and somatic ritual. I use these intuitive practices to help clients access the parts of themselves that exist beyond language and logic. My incorporation of Tarot into my work has been incredibly helpful as a practitioner and for my clients; it is not about prediction, but presence. It invites conversation with the unconscious, and offers imagery that liberates and heals. It is a tool to deepen intuition.
Living on Mt. Hood, I consider the natural world both muse and co-therapist. The land teaches me how to listen, how to slow down, how to trust. I guide clients into right relationship with nature as mirror and medicine, using ritual, seasonal cycles, and earth-based practices to support nervous system regulation, spiritual insight, and deep belonging. I am comforted by the woods I live in and my partner and I are always exploring new hikes.
“Inside each of us is the Maiden who dreams, the Mother who nurtures, the Queen who leads, and the Crone who knows.” - Unknown
As my personal practice has deepened, I have become more connected with nature, the four feminine archetypes—Maiden, Mother, Queen, and Crone—have become central to how I work. These archetypes live in all of us, regardless of gender, and I help clients reclaim the wisdom and power of each one. Whether you're navigating a transition, grieving a former version of yourself, or stepping into something new, these archetypal lenses offer profound insight into your inner landscape. With this work comes grief and I have been easing into my work as a grief doula. There is no healing without grief and although we must do our own work, we do not have to do it in isolation.
Somatic therapy is woven through every session, whether through breathwork or movement. I work with the body as oracle and storyteller, using yoga (primarily Hatha) and movement-based practices to support trauma healing and embodiment. “Movement as medicine” isn’t just a phrase for me—it’s a lived philosophy that honors the body as both sacred and sovereign. As a yoga practitioner for the past 22 years, it has become a core part of my identity and a deep passion to share with others.
“Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced” – James Baldwin
I am deeply aware of how oppressive systems shape our mental health. I hold an anti-capitalist, trauma-informed, and liberation-focused lens in my work. Therapy with me is not about fixing what's broken, it is about honoring what's been adaptive, protecting what's sacred, and reimagining how we relate to ourselves and the world. Healing is resistance. Rest is a spell. Boundaries are sacred. Community is part of the cure.
Though I’ve spent years walking beside clients one-on-one, I feel called toward collective spaces of healing—toward circles, ritual, and connection. I believe in therapy that’s rooted in soul and soil, in justice and joy. I believe in your right to take up space, reclaim your voice, and live a life shaped by your own values, not someone else’s expectations.
When I’m not in sessions or teaching yoga, my partner and I are finding new hikes each weekend and spending time with our dogs, Hattie and Cheese. I am a huge foodie and love exploring new foods and baking delicious treats.

“When someone deeply listens to you, your bare feet are on the earth and a beloved land that seemed distant is now at home within you.” ~ John Fox
I believe that being seen and heard in the caring non-judgmental presence of another creates an environment where deep healing can occur. I practice from a mind-body holism approach, meaning I honor the inseparable union of mind and body. Working with our bodies at a cellular level we learn to cultivate equanimity toward sensations in the body, understanding the natural somatic and emotional responses associated with difficult life events. So often we are told our natural responses are “too much” or “negative” however our bodies are always giving us information, whether through emotion, intuition, sensations, or illness. If we can be still and listen, we develop gratitude for our bodies innate wisdom.
I hold a Master of Counseling degree from Oregon State University and am a National Certified Counselor. I am formally trained in The Hakomi Method; a body-based therapy and my approach is of the belief that healing is not fixing or forcing but an act of self-recreation. I utilize a blend of western and eastern philosophies incorporating the modalities of IFS, inner child work, and attachment theory with mediation, energy work, mindfulness, and soul healing, to facilitate the merging of all parts; mind body and spirit.
My own lived experience of grief, loss, intimate partner violence, and challenging life transitions found me at a breaking point. I lost my partner of 25 years to brain cancer, witnessed my children grieve, fell into waves of turmoil and sadness and found that instead of fighting to keep my head above the incredibly choppy waters, I could turn over and float…breathe. I discovered healing through yoga, meditation, communal rituals, breathwork, somatic experiencing, and being deeply heard and held by another. I began to feel like I could finally exhale, reconnecting to my true self, becoming my own medicine, I turned pain into purpose and followed this passion into the field of counseling. Through volunteer work and connection, I developed the true belief that we are all here to walk each other home.
“Still, what I want in my life is to be willing to be dazzled—to cast aside the weight of facts and maybe even to float a little above this difficult world.” ~ Mary Oliver
When I am not sharing space with clients, you will find me connecting to nature through hiking, kayaking, camping and exploring. I love to travel, meet new people, and experience diverse cultures. I am also a dog lover who is continually humbled by the unconditional love animals so freely give. I continue to practice yoga, breathwork and meditation on my own path towards authenticity, curiosity and connection to self, nature, and all living beings.
I carry deep gratitude for the opportunity to offer my healing modalities at CSC. Working with a group of like-hearted healers feels like coming home and I am honored walk with you on your own transformative journey.

“It is in the light and the shadow, that we find the indefatigable strength of the human spirit.”
Hello! My name is Laura (she/her/ella). I was born in Costa Rica and my ancestors come from the Huetar/Pacacua original people of Quitirrisí, Costa Rica, Italy, and from Spain. I have seven years of experience providing therapy and mental health consultation in early childhood, community mental health and private practice settings. I have worked with people healing trauma, to include immigration trauma, anxiety, loss, depression, and life transitions and losses. In the last ten years, I have grown exponentially through spiritual traditions from our dear Turtle Island/Abya Yala and have developed a strong relationship with my own Huetar lineage.
Thank you for taking the first steps to heal. I would be honored to meet you in your transformative time, as a fearless, loving guide traversing the darkness with you.
I know that there is light at the very darkest of tunnels because I have been there. Healing my own early traumas and navigating dark nights of the soul that came along with adolescence and then motherhood, I rest in a deep trust in the power we each hold within to heal and to harvest the fruits of our journeys, and to walk in greater alignment with our greatest joy and purpose.
We don’t know what the fruits are of the struggle we are going through, we don’t know what the fruits are of the past, of the hard times, the anxiety, sadness, the grief, of the trauma, of the neglect, of the abuse…we don’t know. All we can do is trust that there is a gift. In that trusting and in that learning to trust, through the process of therapy as we acknowledge, feel, and uncover what those gifts are of those moments, we will find that even in the darkest of circumstances there’s always a gift. If we are brave enough to reach out for help when we feel alone and vulnerable, that same strength and courage will also lead us to uncovering the jewels that are waiting there, out of our most profound pain.
We also don’t need to stay in the pain to heal. We can feel the pain, feel what is there, and allow our minds and bodies to show us what we need to feel…to really listen…and from there, we are not obliged to stay in that pain and struggle, in those old stories. Our job is merely to look at those stories, recognize those stories, and not live in them anymore. We are not chained by them. We are not chained by the past. So the task of therapy is to learn what chains we are wearing, what chains we have put on ourselves, what chains we’ve tried to place on others, dissolve or break them apart…and live as a free human being on this Earth. A soul free to live in accordance with its own sacred path.
Therapeutic Offering
I offer an integration of therapeutic approaches which include Brainspotting therapy, ecotherapy (western speak for practices that allow us to intentionally receive the medicine of the Earth), polyvagal application, and mindfulness based psychotherapy. Brainspotting is a type of therapy that allows the body/mind to heal itself by locating a place in the visual field that allows us to access the deeper places in the body and consciousness where the distressing emotions or event is stored. In comparison to many therapy approaches, Brainspotting reaches below the thinking brain into the deeper parts of the brain, allowing for profound healing. Thus, unlike traditional talk therapy or trauma-focused CBT, you do not need to go into extensive details about any trauma or distressing events you have survived. The combination of Brainspotting, polyvagal practices (practices to help strengthen the body’s flexibility to stress), and mindfulness create a powerful approach to healing. Even if you don’t have significant trauma in your life, Brainspotting allows us to unlock places where you might be stuck in your life, performance, and creativity. Beautifully, often the insights and wisdom of the highest parts of our being show up through Brainspotting sessions.
Through many years on my own spiritual path, I honor the unique ways we are healed by all of life. I approach spiritual experience integration through an honoring, trusting lens. In addition to the work highlighted above, I am honored and joyful to work with you if you are looking for a practitioner to integrate spiritual experiences into your daily life and relations, so that you may walk in true embodiment of the teachings and gifts you have received.
I work with clients who can keep themselves and others safe while outside of session.
